Leave some space in the plan
A little unclaimed time makes a plan more useful, not less ambitious.
A plan that accounts for every minute is usually a wish list wearing a calendar’s clothes. Real work arrives with questions, revisions, and conversations that deserve more than a rushed answer.
Leaving space is not a concession to disorder. It is how a plan stays honest when the day becomes real.
Plan for the whole human day
Before you add another task, reserve a small pocket of time with no job. Use it for the work that takes longer, the person who needs help, or the pause that lets the next decision become clear.
The room in the plan is often where the best work has a chance to appear.
